Introduction

This specially curated Banking Masterclass takes place in London during our Summer Masterclass Series.  Participants have the opportunity to learn from an international banking expert, visit sites of banking significance, and gain insight into some of the most important aspects of the global financial industry.

The course is designed to provide an overview of the global financial industry, financial markets, macro-economic drivers of capital flows.  Moreover, the course covers major financial asset classes, portfolio theory, asset allocation and risk management.

The course will examine securities and derivatives, the business models and resilience of financial institutions, and the capacity of financial activity that could lead to financial instability and systemic risk.

There will also be an examination of techniques in risk management and regulations that have been introduced following the 2007/8 financial crisis as mandated by global and national regulators.
